Full IATQuO Accreditation of TESOL Certificate Courses

This is the standard IATQuO accreditation for on site TESOL courses that include a balance of theoretical and practical work according to Our Standards. Teachers successfully completing this type of accredited course can be expected to teach English worldwide.

Full IATQuO Accreditation of TESOL Certificate Combined Courses

IATQuO accreditation of combined courses is attained by completing an accredited Online TESOL course followed by a practical training course at an accredited TESOL Centre. The practical element must contain a minimum of 40 contact hours with tutors over a period of 2 intensive weeks and should include practical assignments and observed practice teaching. The Combined TESOL certificate is obtained following successful completion of the practical element.

IATQuO Accreditation of Online TESOL Courses

Online course modules can be IATQuO accredited, providing that they demonstrate satisfactory learning by students of the theoretical parts of a TESOL course, equivalent to a minimum of 60 hours of tuition.

An Online TESOL course can only result in a fully accredited Certificate if it is combined with practical training at an accredited TESOL training centre.

IATQuO Accreditation of Country specific TESNL Courses

TESNL - Teaching of English to Speakers of the National Language. This IATQuO accreditation is aimed at teachers of English practising in their country of origin or residence to speakers of the national language(s) of that country. TESNL certificates can only be obtained for the country in which that course takes place, and are only valid there. Standards applied to these courses take account of the level of English proficiency of the teacher, understanding of English grammar and phonology, understanding of the principal methodologies used, practical lesson and materials preparation, class management and lesson delivery.
