Feedback from trainees:

(quotes from group interviews usually held on the final day of the course). Some sample quotes:

-  … learned a lot, ..very beneficial, ..self discipline, ..self analysis, ..self evaluation

-  … taught me to stand in front of a class/people. I’m not afraid any more, have developed great confidence

-  now I can plan lessons, find resources, know how to adapt material..

-  I learned so much (about teaching)

-   ………

-  thoroughly enjoyed it….would recommend the course to others.

- not intensive enough, could have started at 9, the breaks tended to become too long

-  would like to know more about the real world eg handling of big classes

-  would like staff to share their personal experiences more eg problems and how they solved them

Further comments are incorporated in the relevant sections of the report.

Feedback from tutors:

(points made on the final afternoon)

- This course was extremely difficult (because of the problem of not much group cohesion), but the challenge was met due to extra effort

- this introductory course serves its purpose, contains all the material they need; is top notch; the materials and resources have improved 100% over the past year

- resources – a request for one set of workbooks to accompany the set of class books.
